transfering maya licence? buying secondhand

I know this ain't very accurate but as far as I know lincenses are NOT tranferable, unless company A buys company B then B's lincences are tranfered to company B, but I think it does not apply to private users.

You can always drop an E-mail at Alias and ask them, I'm sure they will know the answer.

You can transfer licenses, but you need a really good reason to. When you brought maya you agreed to a non-transferable license to use the software on you computer called Maya.

I would contact the maya's legal department and explain your suitation. I was almost able to do it, but my buyer backed out at the last minute. There's a silver lining in everything.
