View Full Version : Lightmapping multiples

I've been re-testing my lightmap exports to my game engine. Things seem to work out fine if I do one object at a time. However, I tried to Group all my objects (e.g. walls in a building), and then run the render to texture with (diffuse & lightmap) added hoping to do it all in one shot. However, max doesnt seem to like this done on grouped objects.

So my quest is, how do people run multiple objects in one scan? Do they weld all their meshes together? Surely there must be a better way.

Attach instead of grouping? And detatch after baking? Just a guess - I've never tried it.
