I am attempting to make a realistic head. I really lost track of what I was doing and I didn't set my self up to do the ears at all. Please take a look at my wires and make any suggestions to the way I constructed the head. Look forward to hearing your guys comments.
This was done in Lightwave 7.5.

Looks very clean and elegant :)
To make heads is very good to get pictures like reference and to have some idea of the shape and direction in that the facial muscles work so that you make a good topography and don't have problems then with the animation. I don't know the names of some bones and muscles in English, I hope to make myself understand....
Apparently you have used the method of beginning with a subdivision box, it looks good!!!
The area needs more detail in your model is maybe the one that begins on the aureole of the nose, the superior part of the nasal grave, and it lowers until the commisure of the lips, it is the area where are also the "zigomatico mayor" and the "zigomático menor", muscles responsible for the subtlest expressions and the most expressive from a smile until the cry or a laughter; the use of these muscles form some wrinkles that take shape when they contract and they leave marks with the age; maybe in a young character they are not noticed (in expression neutral) but you should model them if you will animate the character.
The other thing that is only an impression, is the definition lack in the superior lids.
As personal appreciation, I find that the temporal bones are very wide (sorry for my English, those of the temples), when making them more narrow, the "malares" (bone of the cheek) they will be defined more; the eyes are very next and the ocular sines are very marked (very deep), but all this is only a personal appreciation. You can leave it in this way if you want.
What you should try to make is to give to your character some personality that is noticed in their face, thus this it is relaxed, it should connote their personality ;)
I think that the topography is well, you should only increase some details. Check the modeling forum for topography reference.

I hope this helps,

Gerardo

Thanks for the reply gerardo. You helped me notice several things. I have been tweaking the model all day. Trying to fix the areas you suggested. I stlll need to do some work around the nose and mouth. I got a little frustrated by working on this model so I decided I was going to add some accessories.
I am actually doing point by point modeling. I know it dosn't look like it. I don't know why I model like that I have never really boxed modeled.
Here is an updated picture.
