Hi all,

This is a (lowpoly) environment i've finished for "Dukatiers", a school game project (European Masters of Arts). I used Maya 5.0 (for the first time) and photoshop 7.0
I hope You like it, any C&C are welcome.

wow, i'm suprised no one else has responed to this!

don't suppose you could proved a wire, and maybe some more screenshots...the first one is really blurry!!

from what I can make out tho, it looks like nice work.

I only have one crit,
the trees in the second shot, their shadows are way to strong and overpowering, the shadows are totally black. considering that leaves are rather translucent, this should not be the case.

Is it going to be like Final Fantasy 7/8? That would be really cool.

hey all,

Thanks for all reactions, i realy appreciate it.

@ commy: poly count= 20.000 for the whole scene and textures are 256x256.

@ cucaracha: It's a realtime multiplayer game. The game concept is to find a treasure hidden on an island. The island consists of 4 blocks and a island border, randomly selected and rotated (so there will be different levels all the time). You can dig for a treasure, dare eachother to win or lose a piece of the treasuremap, chat using chatballoons, exchange cards to friends, and gather crystals to get tips from the wize elephant wizard.

In game screens are comming up!!

man that looks great! You've got great artistic sensibilities - the design is fun and make-believe but it still has enough detail to seem real, absolutely awesome! more more more!

I like it a lot! My only crits are that there seems to be a bit of stretching on the ground plane around the statue and rooftops - and, the background contrast competes too much w/the foreground. Maybe you could lighten/desaturate the background mountains/grass that way the foreground is easier to read?

Pretty sweet looking. Only crit is the stretching that was mentioned, but it looks like you won't notice that due to the ingame view.

If you dont' have a demo available, Let us know when/if you release it!

Hi everybody,

About the release of the game, at the moment the game is running in the test-fase, i'm really realy sorry tot tell you this but i can't let you play this game or put a demo online because of contractual regulation. It's a school project but with a real client. The client was the Starchild Foundation, a foundation who created a virtual webcommunity for long-term ill children. This webcommunity is a closed community for the children.
I hope you understand the situation.

Cool, I like it. Would be fun to walk around that little town. I agree with Eric22 about the contrast though. I think you should lower the saturation on the less important textures like the grass, palm leaves, and rocks SLIGHTLY to give the set alittle more contrast, which will also give the set alittle more depth. The saturation levels being close on the backround object causes everything to kind of blend together. But thats just a small crit, great work!

Brighter! More lighting and contrast! Right now it looks like a muddy n64 game.

BUT other than the lighting it's looking realy great.
