put some geomtry in the glass (a cylinder) and give it a nice texture with some refractions, bump etc.

I was thinking about something like that, but I want it to to conform perfectly to the with a little bit of wave at the top. It doesnt have to jiggle around perfectly like water,I just want it to look like water.

ic4 is right. for a beginning just duplicate the inner surface of the glas and close it on top. then you could apply a wave def to the top surface.
also add some particles to the inner volume to give the effect of little tiny bubbles or whatever is flying around. just a little little little one to give the effect.

Hey guys....didn't want to make a new thread. Now....let's say you want the water to be animated, like a soft body, how to go about it without my geometry exploding??
Setup...ok i have a glass that's already animated, just sliding around. I want the water inside to move around with it. That's it. No plugins. No fancy splashes.
Thanks.
