allright, so here's my problem: I have a character that i designed that has reverse knees, which means his legs bend in the opposite direction, like a grasshopper. this is in 3dmax by the way and I need to know first off what bone system would best. I also need to know if any of you have any resources that you know of that I can look at to help me animate this character walking, though he will be doing other things as well. anything you can give me, websites or whatever would be appreciated. keep in mind that i'm a college student, so i have no money, which means that i can't buy any videos or books or anything like that. thanks.

theres not much diference between the 2 setups or the way you animate it, a normal IK system will work just fine. I just did a walk cycle (c last challange thread) of a guy walking on his hands, and for that matter the arms work as a reverse knee kind of "leg"..
