I created a robo model a couple of years ago and just went to retexture it but ended up remodeling most of it. (all but the helmet) anyway i modeled it from memory and there are some discrepencies between the orginal and mine.
please post your comments and critiques
thanks.

Nice work. He seems to be a fairly decient recreation of robo. I did my own version for the last contest, and I'm reduing him for a compleatly off the wall version of my own for my portfolio. Watch the forum, it'll be up soon ;-)

good crit :P

anyways, I think it looks pretty good, but the perfectly cylindrical thighs and upper arms take away from the design a little bit - if you feel like you could add maybe another 500 polys in there, I'd go for it! Otherwise, pretty ace job - nice work!

Looking good. I just have one crit, it seems like the little circle grate in the middle of his stomach angles away from his body more in the concept drawing. I would follow that more closely with your model because it would add a little more definition and interest to his silhouette.

Thanks for the crit.
I totaly missed the angle of the grate.
I hope to have the texture ready for the end of the day. I will look into the arms and legs as they really are boring conpared to the original art.

yeah, I agree with adam atomic,
the arms and legs really do need some wrinkles thown into them.
also, I noticed the shoulders you made are rather sunken in, where the ones in the pic are really round and bulbous.

nice work as a whole, can't wait to see it finished

i started texturing it but got side tracked oh well. i changed the body like you suggested (i dont know if you can tell from this angle) i'll look into the arms legs and shoulders next week if i have time. this model as well as one other need to be complete by the end of the week so im a little stressed for time.

I made his head a little wider and completed his texture. I have also changed his arms like you guys suggested.
final poly count 3572.

It's getting better, nice job, the proportions are very close to the original drawing, though he looks a little bit taller. :)
