View Full Version : Blobby effect...inquire within
gaiXyn 07-02-2002, 11:04 PM I don't know if it's me or not.....but it seems like when I render the s/w particles ( blobbies )....that they don't seem to stick together the way Lightwave's liquid effects do.....on one of Gnomon vids....there's a scene where he uses the blobby particles to create a laser demostration....the particles seem to "stay together" as they travel to reach the pole.....so is there some kind of attribute I'm missing here?
please help.....

when you select blobby particles, hit the 'add attributes for current render type' button. A couple of extra options will be added. Radius and threshold. increasing your threshold a bit will make the particles blend together. Radius speaks for itself!

thanks for the tip...I figured this was the problem...but what confused me was the fact that when I increase the threshold attribute, the particles would seem tp disappear....so I guess it's a matter of getting the right radius to go with the threshold input... :buttrock:
