hi Gurus....

well i have a very typical prob... and i have spend alot of time and i still cant get up to a point where i can say that i got the answer right... confusing .. right... LOL...

actually i use max and alot of other 3D and 2D software like bryce and photo shop etc etc.. my prob is that when i am rendering some thing, big in size for instance 13K frames in max.. whats the best configuration to have in ur computer to enhance the rendering speed.. i dont use heavy lightning.. i have tried up grading my vga card and my ram of the computer but no prominent difference was seen..

in simple words can some one tell me the best configuration for the fast rendering.. keep only two constraints in mind
1) the computer has to be intel
2) dont get really expensive... like in thousands dollars

hope some guru will answer my plea.....

waiting for reply.. appriciate it

Easiest solution?

Switch to a bucket based rendering system.

Vray, Brazil, Final Render.

Bucket based rendering systems are MUCH more ram effecient then scanline based systems, and also allow for much higher resolutions (before encouring system crashes).

All three of the above mentioned renderers have variants of their programs available for trial, and/or free use. (Not full of course).

As a secondary benefit, since your only using intel, these three 3dsmax 3rd party renderers make HEAVY use of hyperthreading, providing much higher gains then max's scanline renderer.

Or you could just skip all of the above and learn how to stitch frames.

First of all VGA card does not improve your rendering speed, it's just for faster viewports.

To speed up go dual (XEON). They could be quite expensiver though, but not killing.
