CGTalk - Where to Post?

I want to post for responses to a question about which 3d software might be useful, but I dont know which board is right.

Can someone suggest a board?

My quest

I am selling taps using 2d images via the Web and I want to use 3d images or more advanced ones (eg viewpoint). I am now using Rhino (demo) and I want to test which software may be the best and most cost effective.

you have the perfect idea... just get the demos of all the major progs and have your fun with them... also check out zaondude's article about the major apps
