Egghunt has been accepted to a few more international film festivals, so I decided to put a list on the first post of this thread that I will be updating if more acceptances come its way. The "finished animation" thread is also located here (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?p=2512517#post2512517).

If you've been following this post, this doesn't bring anything new - but Egghunt has been profiled at Animwatch.com

Any info on the online release date? I've been following this post for awhile, and am anxious to see it in full swing, in stead of just the trailer and demos...
It looks great from what I can see!

I haven't figured an official online debut date, it should be something late October. I'll let you know when that's established. Until then - quick reminder that "Egghunt" will be airing tomorrow night on Nickelodeon 8/27 9:00pm PDT / 12:00midnight EST! As soon as its aired, it will be available for voting here: http://www.nick.com/all_nick/nicktoons/site/filmfest/2005/index.jhtml

It's a long shot but I'd appreciate all the help I can get!!

I finally got around to updating the production journal (http://www.paul-yan.com/egghunt/prodJournal.php) on my website with all of Egghunt's film festival acceptances and news of the sorts. Egghunt is alive and kicking - last saturday it screened to an audience of over 2,000 for Film Night in Dolores Park (San Francisco, CA USA). I was contacted by the SF Film Arts Foundation last minute requesting permission to have it open for another Bay Area made film titled "Bullit."

Wow am I lucky enough to be the first commentor on it?

Congratulations man, this seems to have been a very successful and fulfilling project for you. The short turned out fantastic, and I really enjoyed it. I think many of the elements you talked about in this thread that gave you trouble had really been resolved cleanly and mostly beautifully. The matte paintings worked extremely well and were incorporated well. I saw that you had made 42 blendshapes, but if I were to crit one thing, I say I didnt get to see all of them enough. Regardless, fantastic job, and congratulations!

I was caught by the article on CGS Home Page and already checked the short. Amazing work dude!
I had no time to read the whole thread, but really liked the idea and the eggshaped cave men design. A lot of other things called my attention too.

I just came across this thread today, and I'm glad I waited till now-a day after the finish was posted. Watching it evolve right to the very end was fantastic. I just wanted to thank you for the shot of inspiration and the awesome flic.

Hey Paul, how are things going in your new job? I assume well..

It's great that we can download this! I've seen it already on one of those numerous websites (Nickelodeon, etc...) and it is still as good as it was!

Great job, and I would def. recommend putting it in the finished work section! You'll recieve lot's of stars (not that you really need them ;)).

Cheers Paul
