EditMesh or EditPoly is better?

Editable Poly won't give you stray vertices when you slice. So for that it's much better. Also, Editable Poly lets you have faces with any number of sides and generally behaves better with Meshsmooth. It's a bit slower than Editable Mesh when you have lots of polygons, though.

Many people flip between the two types to get the best of both worlds...

If you need a command in editable mesh that works better in editable poly, then convert it, do the operation, and convert it back...

Don't forget that most of the commands in meshtools works with editpoly only!
