Hi there,

this is my try of the Tomato tutorial (http://www.3dluvr.com/content/article/46/1). Still needs some waterdrops

What do you think?

Looks realistic and nice texturing.
You may need to work on your lighting and shadowing.
The basic concept is that if light hits an object, the object will cast a shadow in the direction of the light on it.
Therefore the shadowing on the tomatoes look a little off.
Also you may need to work on the reflected light.
Also the stem looks too plasticy (did I spell that right?).
Good rendering though keep on working on it...

Thx for the c&c keltuzar!

Here is a little update:
I know, the water on the ground looks weird, but IŽll fix that. But I think I wonŽt touch the steams, because I like that plasticy look.

Looks much better than the previous one!
Make some reflected light at the base of the tomato also you may want to darken the shadows a bit and adjust them too.
Notice the tomato on the right... Looks like its flying, a suggestion would be to put a good core shadow to show its on the ground, just like you did on the left one. Keep em coming Xintare!

Really like the clean style. One thing tho to add; I think the leaves and stalks need a bit more attention. You've created some really nice depth in the painting and gone to a great deal of trouble over the water drops so I think you need a bit of work on the leaves to bring them out.

Bring on some tomato boy cos you've definitely got the touch

Thx for the c&cs so far. IŽll redo the stalks and especially the water on the ground. They really look like flying tomates
