Not bad man! Just one thing , I think that you got a lil' mistake in your shadow, why the shadow goes under his tail? It looks like that the beaver's tail is on the ground but without this shadow it's not the case!
...nothing else to say, welcome Twisted Imperia! :wavey:

just wanted to add some history to the peice, just incase anyone was wondering how i went about doing it.
http://www.figaming.com/crew/ti/canadadayconstruction.jpg
well first i cleaned up the rough obviously, i ended up redrawing in every line anyways with a consistant brush, than i added line weight.
The next step was just coloring it all with a base color that i would work with, also trying to get the proper colors i wanted. Also the flag, what i did was; build a flag in maya than textured it with a canadian flag, took a render and traced it off by hand in photoshop. I think it turned out rather well. As for the beer bottle, you can see i originally had one drawn in but when i tried to color it, it wasnt looking too good so i just did a search found a bottle stuck it in there rotated/scaled a bit, and than traced off some important lines on it to give it more of a drawn feeling.
Than on to the shadows, just a multiply layer of 27% black for the first shadows and i think 52% for the darker shadows, also having the rendered flag from maya helped place the proper shadows.
Thats it! pretty simple but very teedious (*sp?)
PEACE!

I don't know if I like it T.I. I like your talent, but... I'm canadian too, I hate Joe and I hate Molson Canadian. I drink Upper Canada, Steam Whistle, Amsterdam and Big Rock Beers. Those are all Canadian and damn fine beers... 10 times better then Molson Canadian, it's BEAVER PISS. You know Big Rock don't you, you're from the oil province afterall?
... but the drawing is good though, and I like beer, and I guess...Sheeeeeiiiiiiitttt... I'll drink Molson if there's nothing else.l:beer:

heh great input guys! thx keep it up.
asuka, yes ur right i didnt change the contents of the bottle when i stuck it in there, my original beer was gonna be open, also the perspective is different on the molson canadian bottle as well, it looks like its almost going through his hand, problems i m probably gonna fix, along with the flag pole.
gamoron, yea i hear yea man, im not a big beer drinker and i was originally gonna go with kokanee but i changed my mind because to most ppl molson canadian would be more canadian feeling than big rock or kokanee, but i can change it as well. and yea i do know what big rock is lol i do live in calgary, i did a report on them in grade 9 or something too heh!
I guess its more a statment to everyone else im canadian, proud of it, and most people would look at a beaver and understand canadian better, i dont know personaly im pretty pleased how it turned out, but everyone has their say!
for the flag, i thought i mentioned it earlyer i modeled it in maya than took a canadian flag textured it on rendered it and traced over in photoshop.
thx for all the feed back guys! ur giveing me great ideas i should have a fixed version some time soon, that flag poles starting to really bug me...
Peace

I think its funny that in a attempt to promote canadian pride and create a "Canadian" image we see a flag wavin beer drinker....im not just talking about your piece, im mean the whole " I am Canadian" thing...all about drinking beer and waving flags...very American to me.
I guess it could work for any country...
America...
Make the beaver an eagle, the flag american and the beer a Bud....maybe give him a shotgun too.
Japan...
Panda Bear, Japan flag, and Sapporo,
Austraila...
Koala, Aussie flag, Fosters....
Mexico...
Chi wa wa(sp?), Mexican flag, Corona
etc etc etc...

I think the commercial is hilarious. Yeah I know anyone that wears paid gets written off as a redneck. That's my opinion anyway.
