Heres I quick painting I did over a quick sketch. I already posted this in the finished gallery, but apparently I didn't get any Painterly Advice, which I am looking for.

I'm not a great painter, and I just do what I feel looks good.

Any Painterly advice would be very helpful.

albertart .. there's nothing terribly wrong with it .. it's just a little flat ... needs more contrast between lights and darks .. or at least some dark punches here and there if you want to keep it on the light side .. look how black you have the inside of the barrel of the gun, there is nothing even near that dark on the figure, where if that is "dark" it should be universal to the pic ..... (he nasal cavity should match) ....and the right hand needs more work

overall it's o.k and getting there ..
