View Full Version : G5 case for PC?
keltuzar 02-22-2004, 08:23 PM Does any1 know if I could get my hands on a G5 case that can hold PC components? I know its wrong but I just love the G5 case... I love the way it has those holes in the front and back and how it cools all the components.

no idea where you could get one, but I spose it could probably be modified to take PC components. Just be prepared to do some drilling and cutting and such

yeah, heavily modified...I mean look at the internal configuration of those things...the processors are ABOVE the RAM and separated by what looks like a colling duct of some sort...:surprised

The case design is incredibly efficient for cooling but really sucky for modularity. When you design it from the ground up you don't exactly have to pay attention to standards or typical locations of components.
It has been done before too.
