View Full Version : Exporting OBJ Files Any Losses?
m333x 02-22-2004, 07:16 AM When exporting an OBJ file, are their any loses for when importing into 3dsmax.
Uv layout stays the same right..
Face / vertex normals do?
Please help with any information you have, im stuck and I dont want to texture in max.

you can turn on extra options for OBJ wehn exporting, just click on the options square. your uvs will be the same i belive you can turn that off though and thenormals will be the same.

hi!
you should use the fbx- fileformat... i have the best experience with that... itīs for free and you can download it @ Kaydara (http://www.kaydara.com)
you can transfer nearly all datas (anim, texture uv etc. pp.) between any 3d major package.
