I have an animated Shader, and I wanted to know if there was anyway I could preview it in Fcheck (or something else). I used to 3dsmax and doing a shader preview is fairly easy.

I hate to do a test render because this shader requires a lot of rendering time.

Thanks guys

I'd use IPR for that. Just render in IPR then keep your render view open then move the time slider.
You have to desable raytracing though, and the picture is always aliased.
But how do you do that in MAX? I guess there is no solution for that beside rendering your animation and load it to see the result.

You could also click on your shader node and scroll down to the bottom to Hardware Shading tab and change the quality to "Highest" which sometimes works. If not, you can do the IPR thing suggested or you could try hardware rendering it (using the new hardware render engine, not the old hardware renderport for particles) which would be faster and give you a good idea of the final look.
