Hi guys.

I've made a 3d film in Maya to include in a website, but in the end, even the jpeg file was huge.
After exporting from flash, the SWF file of this film is 4.5M.

Does anywone knows how to reduce rendering file wheight, or if there are any exporting pluggins from Maya to the web?

thanks

Generally 4.5 mb for an animation is a pretty good file size. Seeing as you want it smaller, i suggest you encode the video to MPEG using tmpeg encoder (this will allow you to choose the bitrate in which the video is converted).

Once you have the mpeg import it to flash, flash will also give you compression choices.

My suggestion is just play around untill you find a decent compression rate to file size ratio.

Hope this helps :)
