Ok so this is a WIP that ive been picking at for a few months, I finally got the gusto to uv map him, and in the process... modified the armor a tat.
Its suposed fairly low polly... maybe 2.5k or so. might need some rounding in some spots.
Hes going to be an Ice troll... but that will come soon enough. For now, hes just an idea. Hope you like it.

looks pretty tight =)... especially the face looks cool... although if its low poly.. and hes wearing a Big helmet why the detailed face.. unless he can be "unmasked" then i getz it ;)..
anywhoom i Likes the Whole.. so keep up the Good work there mate..

I think for 2500 polys the legs look really blocky.

well heres the current progress... lots to go.
Ice, Ive found is realy difficult to paint... I looked at some crystal reference, but I just cant seem to get it to work.
Any help would be GREATLY appriciated.
Wow, crazy texture. What program did you use for that?

I think some more polys wouldnt hurt on his Body the
Head is good. But your texture just rocks cant wait to
see it finished :)

All my textures are done in photoshop.
Mostly i just use the brush tool at about 10 oppacity, very soft for the first few layers and hard for the highlights and dark shadows.
I use the overlay mode because it tends to blend more and the more you go over the richer the color gets.
Still havin trouble with the ICE...
Any help from the pros would be awsome!

I think you have to do the ice parts transparent... if no i have no idea how to do it...

That face texture is rockin! Mesh loosk clean and proportions are good as well, I do agree with previous post about legs looking a bit blocky for poly count.
You do nice work, keep it up and shoot me an e-mail sometime.

Really sweet texturing. I don't do 3D but I think this is gonna turn out really well.
As for the ice, I would suggest either making the armour semi transparent or alternatively using deep shades of blue going straight up to white. If you look at an ice cube or block, you'll see the colours behind it influence the way the ice cube looks; a dark background = dark shades inside the block.
If this is for a still picture then I would suggest using deep shades of blue. like the way you've done the face. Just remember that an ice cube has streaks and swirls of white in it.

Ok so heres a teeny update... finaly figured out what to do with the ice... smooth sailing from here.
My tablet has been on the fritz lately... so ive been able to work on this only for the moments it decided to work properly.
