I'm rendering my scene out as a still image, the VFB render looks great the lighting looks good, but when I save the image (no matter what extension) when I open the image in photoshop or any other viewer such as the explorer window the image looks very dark.
Anyone experiencing this? Should I just bump up the light intensity, add more lights? I'm not sure exactly how to approach this because when I add more lights or increase light intensity, I can't tell how it will look until I save the image and open it.

appreciate any help.

Not sure of what the problem is exactly, but there are a couple places I'd look. Max has its own gamma control, it's in the preferences. If that's not it, then maybe it's a pre-multiplied alpha thing (not sure what you'd do about it though).

Anyway, I hope this helps:)

That actually has helped out. The default gamma is 1.0 which is way too dark for what my gamma is set to. Thanks.
