the legs do look short to me and ive overused smudge and shading abit :p,
but anyway

Hello man!...
I think that you have overused shading too...try to not make the body as detailed as his face because it makes him less memorable !
You got a mistake on his left arm/hand too...try to make a sketch more detailed before the final drawing. :wavey:

hi ronin! firstly, I like your color scheme.
secondly, along with the very well-put advice of our fellow members, try to imagine the physics of the clothes as you paint them (or preferably before you use any paint on the canvas)
for the particular piece, please note that the cloth under the armpits is a bit too puffed out, and gravity would normally have taken hold of it.
hope you don't take offense in polite criticism. I think it's a great start from sketches to traditional oil-looking paintings
