I need to create an animation of a tombstone crumbling into a pile. It doesn't have to be extremely elaborate, and I'm thinking I can probably use the physics-based animation tools in max 6, but I don't know exactly how I can go about doing this. Can someone please help?

This seems kinda application specific. You may want to try the max forum for this. Anyway, I've never used max 6 (I have max 5), but a PArray set to object fragments might do the trick. You might also want to consider hand animating a few of the larger chunks and use a particle system for the smaller bits (or use a physics simulation, but max 5 doesn't do that very well). Good luck!
