View Full Version : image sequence player with correct aspect
tobe90 02-19-2004, 05:23 PM hi. I don't know if this is the right forum, but I'm looking for an image sequence player, sort of like fceck for Maya or RAM player for 3ds MAX.
It should be standalone, and I would like it to play image sequences in the right image and frame aspect ratio, as I am rendering in PAL 786x576 anamorphic 16:9, image aspect 1,778 and pixel aspect 1,422.
can anybody please help.

Havent been in PAL land for a while, but have a look at Framecycler. I think you can try a demo. Might be able to do what you want.

Thanks Ergi. This is exactly what I've been looking for.
To bad it isn't free.

You might want to check your aspect ratios. To render anamorphic PAL res images, ie with a pixel aspect ratio of 1.422 and a 16x9 image ratio you want to render 720x576 not 768x576. The 768x576 ratio is to maintain the image ratio on a computer monitor which has square pixels. It gets resized before it is put to tape. If you render regular 4x3 PAL it should be 720x576 with a pixel aspect of 1.067:1
Good luck
