I've heard that Bill Gates comes sometimes here and reads what peoples are saying AdipNayak !!
for me I love Windows XP, it's wonderful with Maya ;)
Yest the console output is there whatever you're using a Macintoy or Lindows !!
I'm looking for a way to hide it without any success.

If you open Maya and just hit render then you could see another window coming outside maya, just look in the taskbar of windows. There Maya writes its messages.
If you're using MR for rendering, you have to look in render global and switch to Progress Messages to get the rendertime.
