View Full Version : Layered Texture / UV Set Not Rendering

OK....

Created a material (lambert) with a Layered Texture for the color. The top image texture has an alpha channel.

On my polygonal object, created two UV sets. used teh Relationships editor to link each of the texture layers to a UVset.

It looks great in the editor; the alpha channel is showing right through where its supposed to so show the texture layer beneath; BUT, when I render, the alpha channel isn't rendered, and the top texture layer covers up the bottom one.

Any ideas?

Do you have all the polys mapped in both uv-sets?

Even if you are mapping only part of your model with a particular texture (and uv-set), you should still create uvs for all the other polys and then squash them into an unused corner of the uv-space (in that same uv-set). Then in the alpha make sure those extra uvs are transparant.

Yep. All the faces are indeed mapped to both UV sets. And the UVs that should be alpha appear alpha in the editor; but no go on the render.

I'm really stumped.
