View Full Version : Pool Table - Still
Emmortal1 02-17-2004, 05:32 PM A shot I did a few months ago and finally got around to posting it. The balls could have been dirtied up, which I'll do at a later date. But this was more of an attempt at speed for myself. Total hours worked on was 8 hours. All textures painted in Photoshop and Maya 5 was used. Any comments/critiques are very much welcome, thanks!

Very nice, I'm not sold on the felt (looks too rough), but the rest looks fantastic.

I had a bit of time getting that right even after many visits to the pool hall for reference, but maybe I shouldn't have been drinking heh. Thanks for the comments.

Looks great. I actually like the felt, although it's not so real, it's better, artistic wise.
Just a nit -picky comment, but when i look at the large pic, I can see that the shperes subdivision looks really low. You get jaggy edges. Can't tell in the small version though.

Ah yes, sorry, bad on my part. I don't remember not adjusting the tesselation back when I did this, I will be sure to fix that, thank you and good eye.

It's very simple yes, but as you can see I didn't spend a horrendous amount of time on it. I will go back later and add some things like an ash tray and lit cigarrette or something to add a bit more to the mood of it. Thanks all for the comments.
