View Full Version : Z channel compositing in Shake
melany 02-17-2004, 10:46 AM Helly everybody,
I wonder if anyone can suggest me a good Shake tutorial for compositing Z channel (rendered with Houdini), or even tell me some working ways for doing it .
Thank you,
M

Why do you need another tutorial? The blimp one explains exactly what you need to know.
The only difference is Houdini's Z channel is different then maya's, so you need to find out where their Z data goes from. Maya's goes from 0 to -1, other apps go from 0 to distance from camera(clipping plane).
