very nice but there is some problem with material i think that reflection must be more "glossy" (glossy reflection from finalrender) I dont know how it is in mental ray, try to redner it again
Shakey, i really like this work, think u've done very well.
But that DOF fx is ruining it.
If u wanna use it, please try to keep the area of focus in the camera object, and keep it clean! The shader, as it was in your wip, was great, but the DOF on top of the blurry metal kinda makes too much of a blur :)
In photography, not that i'm an expert lol, but u use the dof to enhance the subject of the shot. U blur the bkgrnd plane, thus keeping the focus on ur subject of interest, wich is preety well on focus and crisp clean. Otherwise, i think u end up simulating just a bad shot.
Besides that, looks great!
Congratulations!

hey DenkoM, thanks for the comment but the thing is that i'm pleased with the metal reflection, took me a long time to find the right settings for this metal shader, and it is just like the camera.
if you dont believe me
here are some pictures of the real camera:

the reason i took it down is to fix the focus problem (thanks Q_B).
it really takes a long time to render this metal shader, so i'll re-post it tomorrow. later.

Okay, reflections are right, but I'm missing some obligate mess in the backround and some soft darker shadows closely(under) the camera, , Camera looks super.:applause:
try to add some noise and glow in postproduction to reach more realistic look, I've already done and I've got it on my HDD if you allow me I wil post it.
Sorry my english

no one has any comments ?
Ok the DOF is better.
The metal shaders rock, specially that big round button! Congratulations, it is awesome.
As for the soft shadows, yep, i kinda agree. Can't exactly tell u how, but i get the feeling that something is missing ...
Maybe u can try and experiment with dirtmap, that can give u that lill extra lack-of-illumination i think could suit the image!
Anyways, great work!
