Been having some great luck with surface baking several models, however certain, more-detailed, multi-layer and multi-surface objects seem to process just fine, but many surfaces will result in the UV map containing discontinous colors and/or just plain black pixel values.

The objects that bake well seem to have common or contiguous polys, where the objects that have some surfaces neglected in the bake have discontiguous polys.

Any ideas? :cry:

can make one doubt their sanity, but if its any consolation, I've had the same trouble. I haven't found a solution other than trying again until it works, or stripping Surface Baker from the surfaces and re-applying it.

Out of curiosity, have you tried unwelding ALL the points, generating the Atlas map, and then merging them before the bake?

(Sorry, that's a shot in the dark. I haven't personally run into this problem yet.)
