View Full Version : Applying to be a moderator of the 2D forum!
Sangotten 06-30-2002, 10:18 PM Hi!
Well, okay it looks like this forum (2D) could be much more then it is right now, lot of the action is sucked out. I noticed that Aaronst withdraw from being a moderator and now only Hawkprey is in charge... would it not be a good idea to get a second moderator in, some one who also knows what is going on in the world of 2D and this board?
Yes offcourse I'd love to be a moderator but I'm just suggesting that there should be more going on here. I know a lot peeps love this board and would also love to be a moderator so this is a "general application for moderatorship" (not official offcourse). Okay, not really an applycation but more a request...
So those of you who think they would also be a good Mod. or know someone you think would a good Mod. reply here and maybe someone will pick it up and do something with it.
...Hawkprey (and other mod's), please don't see this at anyway offensive.:)

I think this is an excellent Idea, I will turn it down myself as I am planning on applying for a mod on the C4D forum, but I think every section should have two moderators.
You have my vote for moderator if you need it, or Art7sayan, just cause I love his stuff.

I'd be up for it if you think you need it. Could maybe bring something unique as I'm from a very traditional (art wise) background.
Anyway, let me know!

I had more of a comment/question than anything else. Doesn't a moderator just monitor the board for abusive posts or misdirected posts? Or are you talking about someone arranging more challenges/activities on the board? Either way, I don't mind voting for another person.
I'm betting that you're going to see much more activity on this board with each new cgchannel challenge. I discovered the challenges first, then made my way over here. And if the 2d challenge grows the way the 3d challenge has grown, I think you'll be getting a lot more traffic. But, you never know:rolleyes:
I'll be looking forward to more fun 2d activities:applause:

I mentioned this too leo, and did say that I know there would be a few interested first, but since I will be picking op XL's, I wouldnt have a probllem doing this one too. I think one important thing would to get a little project like the forum fun thing going or every once in a while post your latest or A quick sketch thing like the current scribble ones, these are the handy ones as they let viewers see many peoples styles and work. and help us to get to know everyone as a whole rather than just a few certain users who share same style ir who's work you like most and whatnot.

I agree with Kaiskai...
You don't need to be a moderator to create such threads as "Forum fun" or "Scribble" but it would be nice if the power of a moderator is behind it, make it a sticky for instance.
What wildsheepchase mentioned was what you see in a moderator, I think both monitoring the board as well as organising cool stuff. It's not really about the traffic but what is going on in the forum, you could have 2000 visitors a day but 10 or 20 people replying.
