Lightwave XP theme

Cool, I haven't checked ThemeXP for awhile now. I might exchange my Lightstar them for this one.

It's kind of funny to see this here, because I found it yesterday (I check ThemeXP quite a bit) and tried it. I really don't like it, and it's really not that much like LW7.x. I would love a theme that closely mimics LW, but this just isn't it.

Hey that looks like a cool theme, it would be fun to make every proggy on my PC follow Lightwave's look and feel.

Only problem is the 3rd party program needed to do this isn't free. You would think something like changing your windows theme would be free or built into the O/S itself :shrug:

I've got the answer to your problem.
There is a .dll file you can SAFELY install on your system that will allow you to use the themes from ThemeXP.
The file is called UXTHEME.DLL and you can get the file and installation instructions
HERE (http://www.lightstar1.com/install.htm)

The bottom section of the page has the manual installation instructions (titled Manual Patching of the UXTHEME.DLL File, which I recommend) and links to the file you 'll need. It's an easy installation.

What you need is a patcher for uxtheme. Open source, works regardless of OS patches :

I really wish someone would make one that mimics LW closely, but I have yet to find it and don't have the patience to make it...
