Great work...looks photo-real to me. What really throws it off is the flowers, bushes and trees being cloned.

HY guy :)
I'tt looks really nice but on m.m.o, the light seem to bee too much white, and the shadow oh the plant, and the lamp ( don't know how they're called in english :P ) is not in the right position, the shadow of the plant seem to don't exist at all ...
But in complex Really nice work love it

thanks all for reply
First of all excuse my english
brogh: thanks for reply , i think the problem was the postpro.. i always use the same technique for postpro .. ( changing a bit, it depends of the proyect ), and shadows loose a bit .. yes .. try to fix in the next
plays : i agree with you , i clone the plants , but i try not make more than 3 equals .. I try to make it better in the future. Thanks for the critic ;)
can u see here more detailed plants..

Gtudela : thanks guy , you make me feel happy , but errr.. i´ll try to explain it in my bad english .. if 3d artist would have a builiding of 100 floors .. Juan Siquier would be in the top , and I , in the 3º 4º floor. I consider myself like a "Brute" artist , and juan is one of the finest artist of the 3d world . Thanks ! ;)
Finally , another view, this time more yelow (before brogh said the light was too much white )

very good image hanxsolo, but i think your light is very strong...your roofing tiles are almost white, usually they are orange, but dont know what color of yours

Perfect VIZ , really cool :applause: :applause:
but
it is sunny day, so shadows must be more harder. i mean shadow of the tree on the fence wall
Nice!
A couple of things I'd suggest would be to work with the lampost more, and add some grit/dirtyness to some of the walls + pavement. But apart from that:

Very nice! Some houses in Florida do have such light colored roofs. I like the little details you put in, like the grass in between the stepping stones. :)

You have made a great work, very realistic and satisfactory for any client, it can have ART in the CG Architecture but please... just put a texture in the sidewalk ;)
My applause to you man.

hi hanx! nice to meet you here too!!

Very nicely done. The model is nice and so is the enviroment. I think the house could do with some dirt though.
Like the vegetation as well. Even if they are a bit samey. Try scaling and rotating them for some differentiation.

I think it looks great...
The shadows are fine, it's a sunny day so there is a lot of reflected light being thrown around, especially with a lot of textures being light. Plants.... cloned but who cares, the focus is the house and that's what really stands out. Even tho they are cloned they are of great quaility. Very photo real....
My only crits are:
The brick texture, it repeats, quite noticeable.
The house next to it is identical.
Looks like something up in the holywood hills.

woooow!
Very Nice Work! Congrat!
Very very good photorealistic image.
The crits i'v read till now have minimum effect on the overall pic, i'd say.
The blown-out light setup is quite ok to me, i really think that's what u get in real life. As far as the roof tiles go, well, if they'r supposed to be orange, lol, yep they'r a bit too much light :)
The clean image is not that bad. There ARE clean houses in real life :) And in arch vis business, normally the customer really isn't that much thrilled about dirtying it up to make it more real. He wants it to be more beautifull than the real ones:)
Great job u have here! U have my 5 vote!

Excelent image, some good crits too. Once the plants are swapped for different versions to mix it up, I would say it's perfect. I really don't mind the whites blowing out, it can happen in photography as a style too.
Keep it up!

YEPA, greaaaattt work Hanx... It seems like a warm place, when nothing can hurt you... xDDD

Excellent... :applause:

i think all you would need to do is rotate the plants so that they are not all facing the viewer at the same angle(for example all the red flowering plants should face the veiwer at a differnt angle than the first about 45 degrees of rotation in the y axis should do it)... this way they all look differnt but still maintaining the continuity of the original render.....simple solution to that minor detail.....unless they are flat planes mapped with the same clip maps then you have a more difficult task.... a differnt clip mask for every plant would be needed
nice render hanxsolo!!
The only thing I want to point out is, the environment in your image is so clean, maybe too clean.
That makes the render a bit like toy or model.
if you add a little bit dirt to it will become perfectly photorealistic.

The only thing I would do right now is this.
The curb blocks. Put a rounded edge on them on the top and the sides, then fill in the gaps of the blocks with sometype of solid since we all know that a curb like that wouldn't last a day with people bumping into it with their cars, or if someone hit their chin on one of those sharps things. Lawsuit Baby. LOL
But a big improvement. Go for it.

hey, looks almost photo-real, are the plants photos or geometry?
hanxsolo
02-23-2004, 06:54 PM
tankking : 94% of the plants in this scene are meshes , only two trees outside are bitmap ( i must did it , too much vertex = lot of crashes ) , the plants in the last two images are all polys . thanks for reply
sergage : i must totally agre with you... i always try to do your way,,,, but always ... i reach this level of light... it will be my stile :D .. or perhaps.. will be my country... spain is the house of the yelow sun and beach :D . thanks for reply.
spacemanbob : I agree.. i begin this scene like a viz work.. and last changes are only for this forum... in the originaly viz-pic the road was hide .. try to do in next-cgtalk works ;)
thanks ring man
