*NEW TEXTURE UPDATE....*

this is my first text ever and i would have nvr thought it would be so hard to do....i have been chipping away at it on and off for atleast a week maybe 2 now and this is what i have so far, i am liking the dirty discoloured feeling the skin is getting but in the back of my head something is telling me it lacks dimenionality...i would love to hear what anyone else has to say about it so C&C would be apreciated!!!

Make this thing four wheel! and model gear system also 4WD.

Looks good! If You seek for inspiration in texturing I think Boris Vallejo can be one of them for sure.

i decided to put an electric motor on the back suspended by a spring hangin from his back, i imagin sparks falling out of the front of the motor as he is ...uh..."motoring" around, but to start it he has to spin the tank treads by hand....now that im thinking about it, it probably need some sort of gas tank thingy..or a battery. anyways take a look and tell me what you think....

I like your upperbody so far. i think how you have the hands modeled now is going to be problematic when rigging it. i think you should have your hand with palms facing toward the ground. that character wouldl ook even better with a great texture. good work so far.

eh thx for the advise but i was wondering how that would actually help with the rigging...im not doubting wether your right or not, just wondering how it would effect the riggin...I'm also having a hell of a time UVing his face heres a pic of the topology can anyone gimmie some advice as to how to go about it ( i have read tuts on how to do regular eye and nose problems but there is just soomuch overlapping on this char that im becoming very frustrated with it....help me PLZ!! : )

Well my rule of thumb is to do absolutley everything and then triangluate Beerma. you can toggle triangle on your mesh but i would immediatley undo. i have just always found its incredibly easy on you if you do. anyway if i was you the face i would do this.

1. get a planar projection grab most the faces of his face and do his face in like 3 planar projections the front and stitch the side. i think if you look at how they lay out uvs for games like quake or just games in general its a good way to follow i dont think this helps much but you will get less distortion this way.

Looks kickass so far Beerma. Very grotesque! Post more of the texture if you have it done.

There are two things on the torso that might need tweeking. One is the gash across his abdomen. In the area that it is the widest it is too dark, it looks like he has a blackhole in his stomach. If you have it a higher value it would look more like a scar. Or is you painted a patch of guts hanging out that would like sick too.

The other section is the scar running across his pecs in the middle. It just looks too much like you took the smudge tool and zig-zagged across his chest :)

Cant wait to see this beast completed though.

The idea is nice, though I think the model needs more work.

I think the connection between the mechanical and flesh parts should be more convincing. It looks like he just stuck on the part with the wheels, and it doesnt seem like he has any real control over it.
