Stupid Newbie question -
How do I access the toon rendering in LW? Before you club me, I searched in the online manual and can't find it. Thanks for any hints.

Doug, IM me in a bit and I'll walk you though it:). It's a shader though in the surfaces tab.

Super Cell Shader is the easiest one to use if you just wanna jump in and make the character or whatever cell shaded. In the Surface Editor, go to the Shaders tab, then add the "Super Cell Shader" shader to the surface. The defaults will do for the beginning, you will tweak them more once you see how it works. Unreal Extreme ( http://webclub.kcom.ne.jp/mb/dhm/ ) is the best out there, and its free...I used it to make this test render:

No problem. Super Cel Shader is cool when you are just trying quickly see how the character will look with cell shading, but Unreal has a lot more control over everything...plus reflections and specularity work with Unreal. Another cool thing with Unreal is that you can control how many "bands" of shading you want. I only have 2 bands...light and dark, in that image above. You can do 3 or 4 or whatever...even just one. The less bands the flatter and more "2D" it will look, but you also lose detail if you don't use edges. And edges are a whole beast in themselves. :banghead: All in all i love the cell shaded look though.
