View Full Version : tricky translate problem

Here is a little nut:

I have two translate nodes that, when I type in translate(XYZ) in the channel box on one of them,, it actually moves approx 6 units, while the other moves 1, as it should.

I think the problem is due to importing the nodes from different scene that have operated with different units. What I want is to be able to give both a translate value of 1, and that they actually move the same amount of units :eek:

I have never experienced anything like this, so if anyone can give me a hint on how to solve this, I would really appreciate it.

Tried Freeze Transformation yet?

Or are the two objects completly and utterly outside any hierarchy? If not, show us an Outline screenshot. Sounds like a scale thing to me, ie. a parent object is scaled differently than the other, or something similar.

But in any event, some screenshots would be pretty dandy.

you were absolutely right... :blush: ...a scaled parent gave me all that headache.
