View Full Version : riggin a four legged character?????help

Does anybody know a expression I could use to make it so a four legged character's body will follow the motions of the legs? Kind of like the primitive man tutorial in the learning Maya book, but with a four legged character. Any help would be appreciated.

do you mean the body to always be in the average position between the legs? you can point constrain a locator to all four legs and adjust the position with the constraint offset to raise it a bit.
I dont recomment such a setup though, because too much automatisation makes an animation too much robot-like.
on the site of the "Setup Machine" is a good quadruped example rig.
