Hello, i got a big problem to cutomize Viz4.2 to the Viewport-options of Maya (>mousebuttons, alt, w, e ,r etc.). I found this menue "customize" but there are so many different settings that i havn't found anything...

-Does anyone have already experience with customizing 3dsmax/viz to Maya and can help me out?

thx

Could you explain what customizations you need?
Like the shortcut key and then the action required.

Hi, thx for your reply... If possible I want to customize the Viz-gui to all the main settings and shortcuts from Maya.. for example:

q, w, e, r, alt, left/middle/right mousebuttons, strg+d etc. and maybe the space-bar to switch between the viewports... that means: "as much as possible". but only the viewport options would be great enough.. maybe someone has done this and would send me his keyboard-chart-files;)

greetings sebastian

you find the keyboard chart on the alias website.

i guess you cant configure mousebuttons and most important keys (alt, ctrl..)

the ONLY 3d App i know, where you can change viewport navigation behavior is wings3d, where you can choose between maya, max navigation scheme, etc. Stupid of the manufacturers, that want us to migrate from other apps...

as far as i know, discreet ripped off the manipulator controls (q,w,e,r) from maya two years ago, if they did with everything, i could consider using max...

thx, i'll try to find some matching shortcuts in these bunch of options, but it's a damn nightmare to figure it out... so i hope someone who has already done this could send me his max/viz/plasma etc. customize files or else.... :hmm:
