interesting lighing sort of, good definition of form, but what is it. how long did it take, and what was the point in doing it.

So you want to see sketches he?
This is what I did at work, doodling away on a "post-it memo" while waiting for my printer to print. It turned out as my 2nd entrie to the june-challenge.
All my sketches are crappy, with stains on folds on it, pieces torn off and with notes&phonenumbers written on it. I think they are only the basics for the end-result. So usually they all end up in the dustbin.
This one survived because I scanned it for some reason I can't remember.

Ok i have another kafka scribble. about 20 mins. i totally reduced the satturation to make a kafka atmosphere. hope you don't mind:
Give it up
It was very early in the morning, the streets clean and deserted, I was on my way to the railroad station. As I compared the tower clock with my watch I realized it was already much later than I had thought, I had to hurry, the shock of this discovery made me feel uncertain of the way, I was not very well acquainted with the town yet, fortunately there was a policeman nearby, I ran to him and breathlessly asked him the way. He smiled and said: 'from me you want to learn the way?' 'Yes,' I said, 'since I cannot find it myself.' 'Give it up, give it up,' said he, and turned away with a great sweep, like someone who wants to be alone with his laughter.

mmmmmm great illustration, love the style and the lowered saturatoin helsp I think, really adds a lot by taking away doens't it. My only crit on it is the passage is very vague on what time it is only that it is later than he thought, so I would try to find a way of still shoing the watch and clock tower and yet keep the time vague, so we don't know that it is 6:15 rather than 5:00. Can't say as to how you sould do it butI think it would add a lot

that bug reminds me of a student film form the last graduating class, I did some cleanup for it and worked on a flying scene of a bug like that but a little more graphic, oooooh I hate that bug. love the image of the first girl there, but the left upper arm woud be insanely skinny, make sure to darw throughyour sketches. Love the toilet one too, too funny.

hi all. I'm a newbie here. I've been watching the forum for some time though. today I made up my mind and registered.

Ok! maybe this thread is what the 2d section needs. I like these kinda topics. Here's a sketch that I'm thinking about trying to color (as you can see the beginnings) Non-photo blue pencil drawing scanned and adjusted....I started with his fat neck and the gross anatomy style just continued...not going for accuracy as much a s style.
Keep the sketches coming. Art7sayin, you're cranking out some winners.... this is fun.
Here's another one of mine ... different style.

07-02-2002, 08:24 PM
Wow. Kirt, that's completely different from what I'vew seen of your style. Well, now I have a million sketches I like but haven't scanned yet. maybe this is my time. I'll have to post each one separate (and as an attatchment) since I don't have enough room where I'm hosted for all of em.
this is Darth Der'klap (named after the vinereal disease) I just want to see Anakin/darth fighting all those lightsabers plus the envenomed spikes and the stinging tail.
