View Full Version : Any suggesions on making creepy looking eye?

the face that i am working on is rapping up pretty much. onlything left is to make the eye look good. the hardest part is to make it look creepy and the reflection value is correct.

what is a good reflection value? (in percetage) and what method to make it creepy?

Here's one I created. It's an interactive eye, going from healthy to diseased.

I looked at some surgery photos and eye pathology reference, then made color and bump maps, and tweaked a cubic reflection map so it was really contrasty... only the brightest parts visible. Then the reflection pass is at 100%, perturbed by the bump map.

I would like to know that did you create another sphere slitly bigger around the actual eye ball for the reflection channel?

Nope, one sphere, with a slight extrusion for the bump on the front of the cornea. Although there is a second surface under the cornea for the iris material. The cornea is transparent in front so you can see the iris.
