I think this came out pretty cool :)

I can see some banding across the nose of the whale,I am unsure if its my graphics card or its the jpg or maybe even color banding,so can you please tell me if you can see it as well

Oh ya the jpg is max optimized in PS.

Cheers

yah I like the image.

Certainly it has that cold water feel that's common where I live (on the Puget Sound Area where Orca's are known to wander...)

Thanks :)

There was a dribble of banding in the original, and the jpg just pigged out and created banding all over the show, but I fixed it in the tif,so I am happy :D

Have you ever seen any Orcas cruising around yourself?

real cool Kiwi, ony one thingy, the white "wavy stripe" (the speed effect) on his fin looks a bit odd, I don't think orca's swim that fast to see those actually:p

ooh yeah and mabye add some organic-plant stuff at the bottom:D

looks great dude:beer:

Thanks :)

Ya I tried plants and some other material but because I used fog everything just kept on dissapearing :hmm: I also made some kelp which didnt look to bad but it overpowered the image.

The speed effect is just a round spotlight, but I agree and I think I will chuck that and try some organic material again :D

my only problem with the image right now is the lighing and colours are brining the focus to the tail not the entire orca or at least its head.

i agree with kai.
right now it looks like the poor orca is running umm swimming away from something bright which is taking away focus from the fish.

what about a slight color change into bluegreen? the left side needs some light. right now the attraction lies behind the whale. the orca might have torn a prey apart. a blood stream and the fluke of the prey coul increase the dramatic art.

Ya take the kids to the aquarium :D

What is it about Vancouver that it is so full of artists?....I mean Mark is in Van as well {Mark Larmand PS Guru}

I have decided one day I am going to get to Vancouver.Mark has already sent me some pretty incredible postcards of where you guys live to entice me to visit....looks stunning.Oh ya guys theres another coincidence it was Mark who suggested I get a copy of C4D.

Just look for the skinny Kiwi at the airport with the walking stick and the really big grin :D

I read somewhere Vancouver used to be full of spies during the cold war,or is that just bollocks?

hmm noclue, but if you plan on coming hope you like rain, I love BC overall, but its better for visits, I hate livin in this city, aall te homeless on the way to school, the never ending rain, lack of snow during Christmas, lack of long sunny periods in the summer, this place ain't for me. Beatiful though absolutely beautiful architecture and nature.

Ah trust me the postcards didnt look like that bud :) ,but I suppose evryone jazzs up their postcards.

Ya I remember now apparently during the cold war Vancouver specifically and Canada in general were specified neutral by the Russians,Americans,Israelis etc,and the place was absolutely crawling with spooks.I read that in a time mag I believe.

Lots of rain huh...ah well its Winter here and it rains a bit,I can deal with that:D

Hey Stu... I don't know anything about the coldwar bit, but... Canada is one cool country to live in for sure...

Vancouver is a great city to live in... Ya it rains some (haha), but summers from july through sept are actually wonderful... as for the no snow, well, coming from midwestern Canada where it snows all winter long and is 40 below, Vancouver is paradise...
(been here 14 years and I ain't going back hehe )

Ya, Kai has to plod through the homeless on the way to school, but then again, VFS is located in the one area of town that is known for this type of social problem... but... imagine kai, if the school was located in Kits (pretty funky area of town)... hang in there kai... :D

The rest of the city is grande... outdoor paradise I tell you... beaches... boating, mountains... it's pretty durn nice...

Mark lives right downtown close to all the action... but minutes away walking to several different beaches :)

We look forward to seeing the skinny Kiwi at the airport :D

Kits would be nice, though I wouldn't be able to live near the school at those prices :p

No the rest of the City is good, but I mised my Alberta snow, Sure it gets to Minus 45 and we still have to go to school, but damnit wipping a snowball at someones head when they least expect it is what winter is all; about, not this wet slush that lasts 10 minute beofre melting away.

And yeah my school is in a truly bad neghbour hoo, so odd to think that tinsiletown is a clean place, and one block north you are in the worst neighborhood in Vancouver. I lived in a loft across from Pidgeon ppark for twomonths, but I had too move as I found it too depressing, and got mugged (Imagine that, in Vancouver, thats pretty rare) Overall Van is a beautiful City, even as you go further south or west in the downtown area it gets much nicer. Course too far weat, and you in Canada's capital Gay community :)

Ya I have been mugged twice......First time by some idiot with a knife who got $4....hahahhaaaa,I almost felt like pointing at him and laughing,or saying "Gee aint we in the big time now!,a whole 4$!...hahahaaa.The next time I got mugged/assaulted was with a friend and I have had a progressive neuro condition for the last ten almost 11 years since.Got kicked unconscious 3 - 4 times for cutting off a car by 3 guys, and I am not even sure if I cut it off,but eh thats life,it is what you make of it,you pick up da pieces an ya gets on wiv it

I haven't been mugged since I was a boy... (I was drunk, and some kid with a toy gun took a pack of cigarrettes from me)

Never been a victim of violent crime in the United States, interestingly enough, the mugging happened in Madrid.
