d3v1n 06-29-2002, 01:23 AM :rolleyes: guys....i'm looking for a tutorial that show u how to make a computer monitor...so far i havent found any in internet. so just wondering if u guys know the website.....or maybe wanna gimmi a tutorial about this:bounce: :bounce: .....coz i really need it for my demo reel....thanx alot:buttrock:

draw half of the profile curve of the monitor (starting in the middle of the monitor's screen and ending at the middle of the back face of the monitor) - so the front middle point will be in 0,0,0 and the end middle point will be 0,0,10 (an example)
now revolve the curve along the Z axis with the Surface->Revolve tool - set Surface Degree to 1 and Segments to 4
that's it - now you have the basic shape of a monitor - you can detach the tube from an isoparm of the nurbs surface - this will give you two separate surfaces - one for your tube - and the other one for the plastic case
there are many more ways to model this of course - that's just a short one
