I noticed several folks posted with the same question:

How to use Combustion's 3D Depth feature w/ seperate Z-Depth footage?

It looks like there's no way to do it... (please let me know if someone has found a workaround!)

I'm wondering if there's a piece of software out there that will write to an RPF (or IFF) file taking all the channels as inputs (an input RGB, alpha, Z-Depth, etc)? If there isn't, does anyone know of open standards for RPF or IFF? It looks like it would be a very useful piece of software, and I'd be very willing to write it if I could get info on standards...

any ideas?

I would love to know this too. My z-depth information are in a seperate file too since i'm using a z-depth shader in Maya so I can get AA, but I haven't figured out how use them in Combustion.
