Hello everyone. Iv been encountering some issues with photoshop since iv been texturing my models recently.
Usually I'm a modeler but my new approach to 3d encompasses texturing aswell. (look forward to some questions in the future...)

I get a kind of strange blurring or blotchiness when I paint or more likely clone a texture into my layed out uv map.
I'm using Photoshop 7 and 5 aswell. It happens in both and only using a feathered brush.

I want to blend away the seams in my texture but these remaining halos aften are just as bigger give away.
Help please anyone who knows what I'm talking about!

Thanks for ya time guys.:wavey:

It's the fault of the soft-edge on the brush.

I usually use a hard-edged brush when cloning, completely avoids this. Also helps to use a custom pattern for the brush, instead of the default circle. Have you tried the Band-aid brush in PS7? Really interesting...

Some more tips in this excellent texture-tiling tutorial...
