View Full Version : Need help: physique + meshsmooth

Yesterday I had a problem I've never had before:
I've made a character, applied a biped with physique modifier, everything ok, and the I added a meshsmooth, because it's easier to apply it after physique. And then, there is my problem, when meshsmooth is on, animation doesn't work, only the biped moves, not the object. When I desactivate the meshsmooth, it work properly, the object deforms with the biped. And looks at the meshsmooth and physique update parameter, I tried all setting, none worked. More strange, this caracter has clothes in several parts, and the problem happened only to one part, while both modifier were applied to the whole selection. Did any of you had met this problem, and could fix it?

So sum up: biped animation works when meshsmooth is off, but doesn't when on. This meshsmooth modifier is applied after physique (because easier to apply physique with few vertexes)

I dont have character studio, but i have a suggestion. Did u try turning the mesh smooth to 0, and render to the meshsmooth amount you want? Also move the meshsmooth under physique and whatnot.:shrug: hopefully fixes your problem

scroll down in the meshsmooth and set it back to auto update. "something" has set it to manual...

Yeh that happens... i think its a bug.
If what those guys said doesnt work delete the meshsmooth modifier and reaply it.
