Well made this in bout 5 days or so
Polygons used 4990.
Wheels are 500 polygons each, and the rest 2990 is spent on the chassis, interior and the rest :)

Modelled in Max 4, and rendered in Brazil

looks great... but i think you can have better renders..it looks liek that u rendered it, with street ligth lightings..looks great if ur goign for that look...but if you want to show off the car..i think you should do a bright render..lighter backround..etc...and aa few less reflections.. my opinion

p.s. i love the head light glow. H.I.D. niice

The model looks really really good, only crit at all is to add another cut into each wiper blade because right now they stick off the windshield, that's all I got, gj man.

@NYRngrs24: yeah I could have better renders only if I could render better  . Those are pretty much the best I can offer this forum.

@Kweechy: Hehe, yeah one cut more to the blades.

Well cheers you two for the comments :)

make a uv-map on the model so that u dont have to have that square around the front window, maybe its supposed to be like that, but i doubt that...

the model has an UV-map, this was made as a game model but I always like to render those too. I always do the window frame like that, the angle is bad and it makes it look square. It's actually bit rounder from the front.

beautiful render, beautiful car! i'd offer some constructive crits but i love the RX8 so much i'd be easily biased and over look any flaws that could be present. GREAT WORK!!

Yeah... i think some people may have overlooked the fact that this is a game model. I love it, it would fit perfectly into a game like Need for speed underground or Midnight Club. Niiiiice work man.

looks good, but as said before could be a better render. but even the one you have isn't that bad so dont fret.
but i was just thinking you wouldnt want to go over any speed bumps with that thing :p

@darkfire: Cheers mate, didn't know people would love the rx-8 model it self so much :)

@Fnote: Yeah perhaps I should've mentioned that in the first post, but I assumed that people would have figured it out from the polygon count :)

@Spaxe: Yeah a scene would be nice.

@layer01: Hehe, no you definatly do not want to go over any peed bumps with this one :)

@Majestic: Ah didn't expect you here, tho I've seen the porsche you posted here. Cheers for the compliment :)

Two new renders of the same model, now in a quite simple scene :)

In the first pic the focus is mainly on the background, that's why the car is quite blury :)
In the second pic the focus is more or less on the car. I've added some motion blur to the scene. I usually do either dark or BW renders, I don't have much of a color eye :)

:edit:
Ah I understand, not good enough to be commented :surprised
Thought actually there for a moment that I had done something nice, but I guess I was wrong.

Judging by your wireframe, this is a very tight model, very nice work. The reason I was hesitant to comment was the renders as well. Sorry, but even the new renders arent very good. I think you should lose all of the gimmicks, dark lighting, blurring, DOF and produce a clean simple render that showcases a very hi quality model. Right now your renders are detracting from the thing you worked hardest on, your model.

Hmm it seems that to get some atenttion here is to create render photorealistic images. But I do apreciate if people would say something rather than just say nothing. So here's the same model once again in the very most simple form

And the same again, with just gray material

very very nice man. The poly count is awesome for the quality of the car! don't know what everyone else is talking about with the renders... I liked them. Sure they may not look as real as a photo, but I liked it anyway--especially the black and white ones :-) Do you have a website with some of your other models perhaps?

Well the model is certainly more visible now. It doesn't have to be PR, but visible helps:beer: Again I think it is great work, just the old renders don't help if you want crits on the model IMO.
