these are rendered game models i had made awhile ago. the entire car is under 4500 triangles. each car has 1 1024x1024 and 1 512x512 texture for the main body, and a 256x256 for the rims.

i was really hoping they would do an italian job movie with the new mini so i was starting to screw around with a movie poster style image. oh well...

thanks. it is a fun challenge trying to work within such limits to me. course i would not mind making this car in ultra hirez as well. too bad i won't get the real one till December but it will be worth it.

the wire of the base cooper. some stuff may look odd in the way it was built, but that is because i am at the mercy of the game engine. for example the game engine does not handle env mapping through an image (like q3a) so i had to cut out the non reflective parts like in the bumper grill to give it a matte look while keeping the body env mapped.
ApocX, i stopped working on q3rally awhile ago. i just burned out and the md3 format cant really handle these cars. though i wish the game had q3a's grafics engine. :)

Looks great but isn't better for Games to have all polys in triangles ?? You have many quads in this object ?
What game use that model :).
all quads are Triangles, just hidden edges :p
nice work.. :airguitar what game is this for? and what programs did you use?

yeah, this is the model right before i hit "triangulate" to get it in game.
the game is a free racing game you can get at htt://www.racer.nl the programmer is going to hopefully rewrite the grafx engine after he finishes up the physics as there is a lot it can't do when compared to today's current games. but for what it has, it is very nice, and it is good practice.
