BSODWarrior 02-05-2004, 08:39 PM This is my first focused critique item. I told myself I would post one of these when I got a lot of good feedback from one of my images...
Its simple, but here it is... have at it.

The leaf is very realistic ( taken from a photo I persume. The imaage would ba far cooler tho if u removed that orb there...it doesn't fit really

I agree that the orb doesn't belong. It reminds the viewer that they are looking at a CG image. The leaf is beautiful. Excellent work. One thing that bothers me though is the shadow the leaf is casting. It's too dark and solid. I could be wrong but something as translucent as a leaf could not cast a shadow that heavy. Too much light would past through it.
The shadow from the orb is much better. Get a real leaf and shine a light on it to see what kind of shadow it casts. I'm fairly sure it won't be that heavy.

It would be cool if it was floating down onto some water or something (well, I think it would anyway)!

Well, it's simple.
No idea what to crit there, looks more like a test scene to me. What you you want us to crit (that is part fo the rules by the way)
