Hello!

Hm..ok i was a bit fast with my first wave of rage about ps7 and the tga format. I should have checked with adobe first. I read this document: http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/2c21a.htm

Then all my troubles are fixed and i live happy ever after, tho i liked the ps6 version of the tga plugin better.

This happens because Adobe have changed the way PS handles TGA files. They claim that the standard RGB+separate Alpha system they have been using for years was wrong all along, and that PS7 "fixes" this problem. This despite the fact that every other app in existence handle TGAs the same way PS used to handle them. Apparently they are going to release a fix at some point to put it back to it's old behaviour, but in the meantime you can work around it by replacing the TGA plugin ( tga.8bi ) from the photoshop\plugins\file_formats directory with the same plugin from PS6 (I believe the one from PS 5 will also work but haven't tried it).

Damn that was fast retraction :)

5 secs after submitting my post i thought why not check adobe.com? So i did and by typing "tga" into the supoprt search gizmo, i got my answer! But i really do not understand why Adobe wanted to change such a nice "error" in the intepretation og the .tga standard. Oh well...
