Is there a script or anything applying relax inside an editable poly? That way I don't have to add the modifier then collapse each time i want to smooth out some jumbled verts.

what about average vertices? i believe it can be found in a script suite called polymagus. rather slow on R4 though. performs way better on R5.

also, tighten from meshtools does a pretty nice job for this kind of task.

cs poly tools has another one called normal push. i use that quite frequently.
